This is reggauge, unsupervised short episodes, clear thoughts, no supervision. Let's get into it. At the end of the last episode, three questions were asked. Those questions, first, who benefits from you believing you are separate? Second, who benefits from you believing you must earn worth? And third who benefits from you believing you are not already enough? I said we were going to talk about it, so let's talk about it.
The first place the mind goes is pretty predictable. You start making the list. I know I did. Religion, government, the education system, corporate America, the self help industry, And honestly, the list isn't wrong. Every one of those structures, every institution we've ever handed authority to, every system we've placed between ourselves and whatever we think we're missing, they all have something in common. They need you to need them.
Think about that for a second. Not because they're evil, not because there's a room somewhere with people in expensive suits laughing about it. It's just because that's how it works. You don't build bridges to nowhere. You build a bridge because someone believes they can't get across on their own.
So yes, government, religion, education, culture, the wellness industry, the productivity industry, the whole economy of becoming. They all benefit from the belief that you are incomplete. That's not a conspiracy, that's just supply and demand. The demand already existed. They just showed up with a product. Here's where things start to get interesting, because the moment I say they benefit from your belief, something happens. Can you feel it? Something feels a little like clarity, like finally seeing behind the curtain we found the wizard.
And right behind that feeling comes something else. Maybe it's anger, maybe it's relief, or maybe just I knew it. And now there's a villain,
which means there's a victim, which means somewhere, just off stage, there's a hero waiting in the wings. It's a movement. Could be a leader, or a philosophy or a podcast,
same operating system, different costume. The moment I hand the villain role to something outside of me, I've just re enrolled in the exact story I thought I was leaving. Now I need saving. Now I need a rescue. Now I need someone or something to come along and fix what they broke. And the economy of striving still open for business, just with a different storefront. So who benefits.
Here's what I think, nothing benefits without fertile ground. We talked about fertile ground last episode. The belief that I am not enough only sticks because there was already soil for it. And the soil the thing that made the ground fertile in the first place was the belief in separation, the idea that I am cut off, I'm incomplete, I'm on my own. So go back further, before the institution, before the system, before the structure that showed up to fill the gap. There's the gap, and before the gap, there's the belief that created it, the belief that I am separate.
That belief is the only one that truly benefits from all of this. And here's the thing about that belief. It has no face, It has no headquarters. It doesn't have a board of directors or five year plan. It's just a thought, a thought that was imposed. We talked about that placed on top of something true. And every villain that I create, every institution that I blame, every hero I recruit, all of it keeps the thought a lot. Because as long as I'm looking out there for the source of the problem, I'm not looking at the thought itself, which is the only place the answer actually lives.
No villain, no victim, no hero, just a thought that was never true and the perception that's been running the show ever since. Sit with this. This comfort means it landed next time. Was the separation ever real
